Stop over 6hours

Im having a stop over in Cairo for 6 hours. My plane lands at 17.50 in the evening. Is it possible to make it to the lightshow at the Giza pyramides at 8.30 pm, stay for 30 min and get back to the airport in this time?

That's really close but probably. If you can clear customs by 18:30 it shouldn't take more than 90 minutes to get to Giza but.....it's possible. If you're flight is not until 2am or so then you've got plenty of time on the return.

Depends what day of the week too- a friday or saturday should be a bit less traffic, but not always at night.

Another thing to consider is that the show at 8.30 is not in English, check the timetable to see the language as it varies from day to day.

If, as the OP says, the incoming flight lands at 17:50 and the stopover is for 6 hours, the departing flight would take off around midnight. The plan is still doable but, given the vagaries of the Cairo traffic, it is calling things close for the trip back to the airport.
