Prices are here - may depend on your hotel accommodation. Commuter train will be the cheapest of the lot.

If you are staying at one of the hotels that airport bus stops, then it is more convenient/cheaper to use bus, since then it will door-to-door, no need to drag heavy bags around.

The convenience of the bus depends on your hotel. I stayed at the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, and it was the last stop for the bus from the airport. This made it a very long trip, well over an hour. If your hotel is one of the earliest stops, then it would be a quicker trip. I don't know where to find info on the order of the stops.

I had done both and will go for the bus if u got a big luggage with you. Yes, we will need to pay about 3 times more but saves you the hassle of carrying your luggage up and down staircases and that saves a lot of energy. The arex only reaches Seoul Station and if you are not staying around this area, chances are you might need to jump onto another subway line to get to your destination. With the bus, you just need to pull it across traffic lights and streets but not up and down subway stations. Especially when not all the subway stations in Seoul has escalators.

But if you very minimal, luggage go for the arex... it saves almost 3 times the cost...
