Seoul --> Namiseom & Chuncheon --> Mt Seorak

My partner and I would like to visit Nami Island and Chuncheon on our way from Seoul to Mt. Seorak. I have read that you go to Gapyeong and take a ferry from there. This is where the problem arises. I would like to stay overnight in Chuncheon and check in to our hotels first before going to Nami Island so we don't have suitcases to lug around.

However, Nami Island is about an hour (?) or so to the WEST of Chuncheon, so it seems like a waste of time to go past Nami Island, go to Chuncheon, then head out west. Any tips on how we can organize our trip please?

Also, are Petit France and Garden of the Morning Calm worth visiting while we are at it? They are ~45-60 min apart from each other, I think, and I don't like to lose so much time on transportation...

Thank you.

Have you tried plugging in your search into KoreaTransportation dot info?

For Chuncheon to Seoraksan, first get to Sokcho:

Then take city bus 7-1 to get to Seoraksan.
