Yeoju Premium Outlet

We will be in Seoul mid Oct. Heard and read about Yeoju

Premium Outlet (1 hr bus ride from Seoul).

Would love to hear comments from fellow friends who may have visited this outlet?

Is the savings so great that its worth the trip there?

There is Munjungdong which we heard is also a outlet

area but within Seoul.

Can't decide which one to choose.

Well, if you are looking for well-known brands, better shopping experience like foods and restrooms, go to Yeoju, it's new, it's operated by one of the premium department store, Shinsegyae, which is like Sogo you'll get there, but it's cheaper than the stores in general in Seoul for sure.

I've been to many premium outlets in the States before, but this place is better in terms of the products they have, though much expensive compared to the States, there's less mid-low cheap brands here, and for instance, Levis, you'll get the asian models which for me looks more fancy.

Munjungdong is filled with domestic brands and maybe cheaper, but it's harder to find and well it's really an unorganized place, anyway the two places are very different in style and stocks each have.

BTW, isn't Singpore a better place to shop clothes?

I love Singpare for the foods and shopping :)

Have fun in Korea.

Thanks Sugarain for your comments.

Yes, I was hoping to compare Yeoju with the outlets in the States.

Understand that Yeoju is open by Chelsea group which operates

outlets in the States I was in the States last year and have enjoyed the outlets shopping very much. Prices in the States was very reasonable too. So over in Yeoju, i am expected to pay much more???? Levis, in the States, cost about US$24.99.

imagine this, for its a whole different world from Singapore :

SeouL itseLF is a gigantic metropolis comparable to Tokyo

if U count in all the "Satelite Cities" surrounding its boundaries .

the WHOLE of South Korea can B driven in 5~6 hours by car,

and this P.OutLet takes 1:30hrs alone,

attractive mostly to locals who wanted to yonder onto

the original stores in the States .

U wouldn't want to travel this distance alone for a single OutLet Mall,

even if it's the latest glitz in Korean Shoppine scene

for there R many, many shopping meccas within SeouL,

in the old, centraL area, as well as the newer KangNam district

South of the Han River .

save your time, not necessarily the money

because months after your traveL I'd quote "I told U so .."
