My friend and I will be in Tbilisi for a few days later this month. Of all the possible daytrips from Tbilisi, a trip to the Georgia-Russian border and back sounds most appealing, and the Kazbegi scenery--based on internet photos--is most appealing. Can anyone suggest, once we take a minibus up there in the morning, what to do/see once there? Hopefully we could take an inexpensive minibus back to Tbilisi around sunset, but worst case, is it easy to get a private taxi back? Cost? Thanks!
