You did not mention your price bracket but using the hotel search on this page there was loads of availability.

Have you tried Beautyland Hotel II? It's in downtown Yangon. I've had single rooms there for $30 a night which were clean, with a/c and hot water.

Beautyland II was an utter dump when I was there in December~January. Read the reviews for that place.

I also heard that Clover is good, and new too I believe.

I was there several times in January as well, had four different rooms, with windows. They were small but clean. Okay, after a few run down rooms in Pathein and Ngwe Saung, the Beautyland II rooms were a relief for me ;-).

Yangon is expensive... Didn't hear of much lower rates for similar hotels.

In an earlier post the OP was quoting "up to $100 a night" so he is not looking for a $25B&B
