I got an interesting (to be politically correct) experience with the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore and had to come back as there was info missing on their website. I wasn`t alone in Queue who had this problem, unless you`re doing it through an experienced agency who learnt what was required based on experience. Friends of ours had exactly the same problem.
If you`re applying for a TOURIST visa in Singapore, please make sure you bring all the following info:
0- 3 photos to be glued on the forms
1- 2 Big Forms with Photo ALREADY GLUED. Or you will be turned down
2- 1 Small form with PHOTO ALREADY GLUED.
3- Photocopy of your NRIC card. If you don`t have, might be a problem. A guy was rejected for this.
4- Photocopy of your Passport
5- Letter saying when and why you will travel Myanmar, your passport number, your destinations, your name and your signature. THIS IS NOT MENTIONNED ON THEIR WEBSITE OR ANYWHERE ELSE.
6-A Business card.
Any info missing and you will be rejected by the officer.
People transiting through Singapore were turned down as they needed the VISA within the same day. Not possible in Singapore. If you do not live in Singapore, it will be difficult to get your VISA done and will be referred to the Bangkok embassy.
Cheers
