Water / reef shoes ?

Hi All

I love to know if we would be able to buy reef shoes in Port Villa (if so where and best value etc ) or should I buy them in Australia ?

Would our toddler need reef shoes in shallow water? I have never seen them in baby sizes so I guess we would just have to hold her if it was an issue. She will only be in beach water around Le Lagon and Erakor. Thanks

Hi Naomi

I have not been there yet travel in November

Hope some one who's been especially with little ones will read this and be able to help you

I would not let her walk without shoes in or out of the water

Apparently there's sharp coral pieces and the lagoons are probably less trouble but there still could be some sharp pieces I imagine

child will need to wear something-although there is less risk as the beaches there are sandier- but still have coral. The easiest would be either cheap sandals or the little jelly shoes- target or bigw

Thongs or sandal type thongs are fine for small kids. But I have seen small reef shoes in Big W. Also check out Super Amart Sport, any sport store, Target, KMart etc. You are bound to find some there rather than buying them from the UK online.

There is a small sand Beach at Erakor but the coral pieces can be sharp in the water.

Le Lagon has no beach...just a sea wall with stairs into the water. It has pools though.
