Standard of hotel

My partner and I are planning to visit Abu Dhabi in March for my 50th birthday. Although we have travelled a great deal, our only other experience of the Middle East has been a week in Oman which we loved. We stayed at The Chedi in Muscat and are considering staying at The Fairmont when we visit Abu Dhabi. Does anybody have experience of both these hotels, are they comparable in terms of standard?

Also, what is the weather like in early March? We visited Oman in December and although it was warm enough for sunbathing, there was a chilly wind and the evenings were quite cool. Any observations would be greatly appreciated.

1. Re: Standard of hotel

Early March is generally pleasant, unless there are sandstorms (which are more common in March/April).

Temps range from daytime highs of 28-32, to evening temps of ~22-28
