What to do in Doha in the evening

Hello

My flight arrives at Hamad international at 11pm and departs the next day at 7 30am. If am able to leave the airport grounds for those hours is there anything fun to do? Can one explore the city at those hours? Also how easy is it to get to the city from the airport?

Also in case am not able to get into the country and have to stay at the airport for those 9 hours or so, is there anything to keep someone busy at Hamad international?

First thing, if you are travelling on Uganda Passport than you need to pre-arrange visa if you intent to leave airport and go out in the city unaccompanied. You are not entitled for visa on arrival. Please advised that you do NOT need any visa if you are transiting and do not leave airport.

If you join free tour in that case visa is not required.

When are you coming? if you are travelling between 29-Jun till 28-Jul, in that case you will be arriving in the holy month of Ramadan, Souq Waqif will be open till 0300 am.

Thanks alot for the tips, am arriving in September and have a 9 hour layover in Doha. Apparently the airline arranges for hotel and visa but the visa is at the discretion of the immigration official. What is the free tour about? That may be my best option since am not conversant with the new airport
