1. he drive from Beirut to Jeita can be anything from 30 to 45 minutes or more depending on what time you leave and the traffic. Morning traffic is not too bad as most cars will be coming into Beirut.

2. You need at least 2 Hours at Jeita Grotto

3. the drive from Jeita grotto to Byblos is about 30 minutes.

4. You can spend an afternoon in Byblos to walk around the Ruins, and have a lunch in the old Harbour

5. The Drive from Beirut to Beiteddine is about 30 to 45 Minutes.

6. Beiteddine Palace is not on the way to Damascus, but if you have time you can take the road from Beiteddine , over the mountain to Keferya and cross intothe Bekaa Valley, and then from Kefreya to Chtoura and on to Damascus. This is a very scenic drive and you can also see some cedar forests on the way.

You can find very good Maps of Lebanon/ Beirut in bookshops. The one that I have been using since living here has been published by GEO

Have a good time in Lebanon
