If money isn't an issue, then any place in Bahrain would be fine. Being realistic however, Juffair is a pretty expensive area with 2 bedroom furnished apartments ranging in price from 400 - 800 BD (depending on the age of the building and furniture quality). 3 bedroom apartments may range from 600 - 1200 BD. These figures aren't accurate, so you may find some beyond the given range. However, I think it's a pretty fare representation.

The nice thing about Juffair is it's becoming the new "hip" place to be. With a whole street featuring coffeeshops/restaurants (next to the U.S. army base) - plus some clubs scattered around that street. There are a whole lot of apartment buildings and in some cases, it may be cheaper to get an unfurnished apartment rather than a furnished one if you plan on staying for a long time.

Nearby areas that might be cheaper are (from a little cheap, to maybe a whole lot cheap) : Exhibition Road, Adliya, Um AlHassam.

Hope this helps you in your decision.

Thank you for this information. I'm also moving to Juffair in mid Janurary.

There is no way on earth that Juffair is hip. It is a dump, full of construction (that will mean you dont need an alarm clock to wake up in the morning), foreigners from nearby countries looking for services from ladies of the night and renting rooms by the hour and American military types. Avoid Juffair at all costs

You bring up a good point about the construction. Then again, I've never been to Juffair before sunset - so there must be a whole lot of noise from the construction sites, especially the North-Western region closest to the Specialist hospital.

I thought Exhibition Road was the "Red District" - guess Juffair's slowly becoming one as well, huh? *sigh*
