Convenient hotel for one-day stay

My husband and I will be visiting Bahrain for the first time in April. We would like to see some of the sites - markets and such, so would like to be located close to the action as it were. Does anyone have suggestions for an upmarket hotel that would fit this description?

Marhaba (hello in Arabic)

Here's the breakdown:

The Ritz Carlton (ritzcarlton.com/en/…Default.htm) is in the Seef District and has many great restaurants. It is close to the local malls. It has a private beautiful beach, (the only beautiful beach on island in my opinion).

The Gulf Hotel (http://www.gulfhotelbahrain.com/) is in an area called Juffair across from the Grand Mosque. Behind the hotel within walking distance is an area called Adliya, filled with chic restaurants and the main rug shopping, crafts, etc.., road called Shawarma Alley. The hotel also has a variety of tasty hotels.

The Radisson Diplomat hotel (http://www.manama.radissonsas.com/) is in the middle of the city around everything, but nothing within walking distance.

Any of these hotels are a close drive to the local Souq.

If you are planning to come during the Formula One race (April 13-15) It is best to book immediately or the prices will be astronomical!

Good luck,
