Sorry and worry to hear that. When did you return the car? I'm still waiting for my deposit (car returned on Dec, 21)...

I have been hearing this a lot during my research. How did you pay the deposit? Is it not done on a credit card ? With so many people having this issue I am looking elsewhere for a rental.

A question for the original poster and anyone who was awaiting their deposit refund, did you ever receive these?

I’m planning to book a car in Al Ula but the options are slim: Yelo or not sure what else. Even going via Europecar it seems they redirect to the Yelo counter which isn’t in the airport but 25km away in Al Ula town.

Same to me. They don't want give My Money back. Worst Company in the world. Customer care unbeliavable

Yes, if only I had seen this sooner. I'm in the same boat. The monies taken to cover any damage have never been returned to me either. Fortunately I used VISA, so the whole amount is now in dispute. My bank can deal with them. Having emailed several times for updates, continue to be subject to delaying tactics. Be warned.

Yes I've had the same issue, hired a car in February and still waiting for my deposit back! My bank is taking it up with them!

I had rented a car with Yelo in Al-Ula from March 13 to 17 this year. I paid a deposit of 1500 SAR.

When I hadn't received the deposit back after 30 days, I wrote an email to ccc@iyelo.com. I received a prompt reply, asking for my banking information (IBAN/SWIFT). Less than a week later, the money was back in my account.

I found it strange that I had to trigger them to return the money (and that they did not return it via VISA, which is how I originally paid), but in total my experience with Yelo car rental was quite positive!
