A day trip arpund Amman

Hello,

I need some suggestions :

- first , for a professional tour guide (person or company) that would be able to offer day trip since I have only one free day - thinking of doing Dead Sea, Jerash, Mt. Nebo, Madaba. I was thinking of hiting Raven Hawk but after looking at those postings, it made me a bit wary of hiring him.

- what about airport transfer since I will be arriving around 2 AM in Oct and i am a bit wary in taking a cab to my hotel since I am a female travelling alone.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alexyss

Are you serious?

If so, not feasible. Jerash north, rest south. These places are not around Amman, but some distance

As for Ravenhawk? Is this you again?

If not, apologies, but itinerary simly no doable.

Try contacting Rana at Jordan Ecotours (www.jordanecotours.com) - she should be able to fix you up with a car and English-speaking driver for the day and possibly airport transfer as well. If you phone her be assured she speaks fluent English.

She could also come up with a reasonable one day tour - what you suggest just isn't feasible.

I would recommend Jerash, amazing Roman ruins - we were told the average tourist spend around 2 hours there - we spend 5.5! Then on to Ajloun, a crusader castle and then to either Pella or Um Quais.

A restaurant which our driver recommended was Reem Al Bawadi which we really enjoyed - good food, great service and interesting surroundings made to look like a Bedouin tent.

Hello. I didn't see the other two posts about RavenHawk but just wanted to weigh in that I would NOT use him. I did once -- and I don't even feel like going into all the problems I had.
