Breakfast spots near Sea Executive Suites

Hello everyone,

When I am in Israel in February I will be staying at the Sea Executive Suites in Tel Aviv at 6 Herbert Samuel St. The hotel serves breakfast but I have been told that it is one that is not worth the 80 NIS per person per day cost. I can't think of any breakfast that is worth basically $44 US Dollars a day for two people, so I am looking to find out about any recommended breakfast places around that part of Tel Aviv that are hopefully better and cheaper.

So no problem with sharing then!

While not all restaurants, particularly in Tel Aviv, are kosher, you might want to consider:

It may be counterintuitive, but a kosher meat restaurant rather than a kosher dairy restaurant would be easier for a vegan. It's quite acceptable to go to a meat restaurant and ask for something without meat, and it's almost certain there would be non-meat options on the menu. Because of the kosher laws, a meat restaurant cannot serve any dairy products (although it may serve fish and/or eggs, but they are easily avoided), and vice versa. It will be much harder to avoid any dairy products in a dairy restaurant.

Felafel in a place that also serves shwarma (meat) will be fried in a separate container of oil, so no problems there, and the oil will definitely be vegetable.

This list of vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Tel Aviv might be useful:

While not fancy, when in Jerusalem be sure to visit Village Green. They have two locations, one on Jaffa and the other on Emek Refaim, in the German Colony section of Jerusalem. This is a self service Veggie restaurant ( with many many vegan dishes) The food is absolutely delish.

This site is in Hebrew and it is the German Colony location BUT the pictures do not need an explanation

BTW if you google Village Green, Israel you'll find loads of great reviews.

(sorry for going off subject slightly BUT you WILL also be in Jerusalem!

You might try Cafe Xoho - probably a 20 minute walk about the beach on Mapu.

Is a vegetarian/vegan cafe that serves breakfast - we went there twice. Entrees are about 50 shekel a person. Everything including vegan pasteries are homemade.
