Lower 20's (degrees C).

A bit chilly for some but preferred over the summer lukewarm waters by others (such as myself).

I didn't go ocean swimming in Tel Aviv in May, but I can tell you this about the air temperature -- it is a WONDERFUL time to go. The temperatures were in the 70s F (20s C) every day, and it was just lovely. That would be my favorite time, actually.

I also recommend that you check out a wonderful, English-language site on Tel Aviv tourist information at www.telavivguide.net. Lots of information for visitors.

Have a wonderful trip!

Zoli,

Itis a great time to go. A little better in late May for swimming.

I was there last year and sam at the beach in Netanya at night. Very pleasant.

Definitely warmer than Lake Balaton would be at this time.
