walking to old Jaffa

How long would it take to walk from the Olympia Hotel to Old Jaffa. We will be there this Monday. Would it be too hot to walk? Are there any other "must sees" within walking distance of that hotel? Thanks for everyone's help. This site has been great!

Walking will take about 45 minutes. Next Monday might be hot for the season but not as hot as in summer and not humid. Don't forget hats and water. Go to the Tel Aviv tourist office http://www.tel-aviv.gov.il/English/home.asp where you can get maps and guiding for self-tours. The office is on the way to Jaffa at the foot of the Dan Panorama Hotel.

It's a lovely scenic stroll along the promenade. Yes, about 45mins-1hour. Start early enough to stop at the Manta Ray restaurant and have lunch. It is great, with a brilliant view of the bay towards old Jaffa. The sharing seafood dish is wonderful if you are a two, and great value at 149 NIS. Along the way there are several historic points that are sometimes rather sombre, but which should all be taken in as an integral part of what makes this extraordinary and vibrant city what it is. Enjoy.
