Many cruises that dock in Eilat offer a tour to Masada and the Dead Sea - a bit of a drive but a fascinating day.

Depending how long you dock in Eilat. The cruise ship organise tours to Jerusalem, Petra, Dead Sea, jeep desert tours. Locally there is the Underwater Observatory, swimming and diving with the dolphins at the Dolphin Reef.

The is usually a free shuttle bus from the port to Eilat and back.

Eilat is a wonderful, vibrant, brash city. The front is not to missed. I'd hate to live near here but it is vibrating with life and bursting with tacky ripoff items for buying, eating, drinking and heaven knows what else. However there is a gem nestling in the middle behind the Tourist Police Station. The Teleri yacht. Hire this yacht just for yourself or a small group and the warm hospitality, the tranquil sailing and the ambience is perfect. It will be a must do everytime we go back to Eilat - and the BBQ on the second visit was superb, as was sailing back to Eilat in the dark
