carlton tel-aviv or hilton tel-aviv

Hi. My husband and I are travelling to Israel this summer. For Tel-Aviv, we are considering 2 hotel options and am wondering if anyone has an opinion to offer. At the Carlton, we can only get an exec. room, which will cost $30 more per day than the Hilton, which is a for a King guest room. Is it worth the difference? Which hotel is nicer?

Thanks for your help!

Its a fine hotel, in the tourist area. We in Israel don't like Atarim Square because it is ugly. If you are on a group tour you won't have time anyway to see much of it.

Atarim square was an experiment in inovative architecture which went wrong. It is now neglected and ugly. It'll take quite a lot of work to make it better. But it's not unsavoury or anything, just ugly.
