Israel Tourism Consultants

Has anyone used this tour company and if so any comments on them? Their website is impressive and the tours that they offer seems well organized and fairly reasonable. When I called them they obviously told me how long that they have been in business, that they only use licensed guides and have a list of testimonials which obviously you can't consider in your decision.

From the website it doesn't appear to be ITC. I think this is a new one for us here at Trip Advisor!

understand there are literally dozens of companies that do tours. We who post are either residents or people who make multiple trips to Israel. We usually do trips independently. We learn about tour groups from people who post here and from others. If you do go with this company, please come back and let us know how it went--so we can share with future questioners.

I am also looking into this company because it seems very reasonably priced and has smaller groups. I found this other thread here and at the end there is a good review.

I was concerned at first because their BBB rating was questionable but as of now their rating is A (and it says they've only been a BBB accredited business since 11/13/2009). It sounds like they might have been affiliated in the past with one of the other travel agencies that people mentioned in the above thread (?).

Kathy--reading the link you posted I do not see ITC and Israel Tourism Consultants as one and the same. It seems to depend on how you read the comments. The last post on that thread--clearly states the person went with ITC. Stever--I would ask them point blank if they are the same, were the same or what gives. Challenge them about their BBB rating. Hey--you are about to part with thousands of dollars of YOUR well earned money--you have a right to ask questions. If they don't feel it is necessary to answer--or their answers feel like coverups-RUN!

I just came back 2 weeks ago from the In the Footsteps of Moses tour, except we changed the tour to the Christ tour (it is actually the same but the tour guide just tells you about it from a different perspective). We were expecting a "group tour" in Cairo and were not informed that we would have our own "private tour" and were caught off guard by that but in the end I was much happier with that. We also went to Luxor, optional tour, and it was so worth it and should not be missed. In each part of Egypt we had a different guide, each one of them I thought did an excellent job. When we actually got to Israel (after Jordan) we had a small tour of 13 for the remainder of the week. Everyone in our group was fantastic, well educated and we learned a lot from them. Our tour guide Doron was EXCELLENT and he went out of his way to make you really enjoy yourself and clearly has a love of his job. The only thing I would say against ITC is that they told us that we would be greeted by a Representative to meet you and assist you with customs (we were met in Cairo but not assisted w. customs bc they couldn't) and after that it was just a driver who picked you up and dropped you off at the hotel. We were not met at the airport in Israel as we were told, which would have been nice. I was fine with it but my friend was not. Also, they switched the itinerary in Cairo with out telling us in advance and didn't give us a real reason but it would have only been a problem for us if we had had plans with other people. Also, the other people on the tour with us in Israel were not all from ITC, they booked their trip through another company. So, I would recommend it 100% but just ask questions when you call.

Hi,

I found out the scoop about ITC vs Israel Tourism Consultants and I thought this clarification might be helpful to others.

There is a company in NJ called ITC (ITC Tours aka Israel Tour Connection) and here is their website: http://www.israeltour.com/

There is a company in Los Angeles called Israel Tourism Consultants (sometimes people on this Forum refer to them as ITC, that's where the confusion comes in). This is their website: http://www.israeltourismconsultants.com/ ; They also have an older, outdated website (technical problems): http://www.israeltourismconsultant.com/ (singular - no "s" at the end). I noticed that the prices were slightly different so I called to inquire and that's when I found this out.

I have spoken with reps at both agencies and both were very friendly and helpful. The person from the thread that I referenced on an earlier post who said they used ITC (Charles Dabby) did indeed use Israel Tourism Consultants out of L.A.

Hi Happy Clam: Are you talking about ITC - Israel Tour Connection or Israel Tourism Consultants with whom you had such a good trip?? I am making reservations for my trip and am deciding between the two.

Your feedback is helpful. Thank you.
