Beyoglu or Bakirkoy?

We will have stayed 4 nights in Sultanahmet, then 14 days all around Turkey and we are looking at an extra 4 nights in Istanbul at the end of our trip. We thought we would like an area like the Port area for no other reason than walks, cafes, restaurants and scenery. We don't want high end but nice. We have no objection staying in small family hotels either. So Beyoglu or Bakirkoy, which to choose? And any recommendations on hotels please?

cartoon, No problem at staying at the port area but that is NOT Bakirkoy. Port area is Karakoy. At Karakoy here are two good hotels for you: "tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293974-d191607…", and "tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293974-d359182…".

good luck,

Hi,

Unfortunately your port description is not available in Istanbul. You may prefer Ortaköy, Bebek instead if you can afford hotel accomodation.
