Unfortunately we did not have enough time to get our laundry done through our hotel before checking out the next day. So after reading an old post on Trip Advisor, we decided to get our 3 weeks worth of dirty laundry washed at Amphora which was close by. DO NOT go there!!! I'm not sure how the Turkish like to wash their clothes, but where I'm from we like to use washing powder or detergent! Our 7kg of clothes clearly were only put on a quick rinse cycle as they stunk and my husbands t-shirts were still smelly at the armpits. And if you like your clothes returned to you reeking of cigarette smoke (we are not smokers ourselves), then yes take your clothes to this laundromat. Obviously the guy had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth while folding our 'clean' clothes. But this act seems to happen everywhere - I walked into a proper shop to look for the dress I seen in the window, only to have the owner follow me in and around the shop smoking a cigarette!! Anyway, this laundromat charged the same rate as our hotel - 7 Lira per kilogram. My advice is to get your laundry done through your hotel if you have time, or wait until you get home or to your next destination. Even better, just hand wash if you can!! At least you know who is handling your clothes. Good luck!
