East Site - BEST Experience Ever!

East Site - BEST Experience Ever!

My wife and I recently came back from a 10-day tour of Uzbekistan. Due to timing, we could not join the usual group tours. Julia Feydman of East-Site customized the trip specifically for us and she did a fantastic job. I must say she is very efficient, prompt in her responses, professional and always helpful. She also did our airline bookings which beside Uzbekistan included Azerbaijan and Turkey.

She took care of obtaining visas for us for Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Hotel accommodations and all other arrangements were 1st class throughout our Uzbekistan tour. No hick-ups and totally stress-free. Our tour guide, Akmal was awesome. He spoke fluent English, was very punctual, knowledgeable/informative, friendly, efficient, protected us from any vendor hassling and always ready to extend a helpful hand. He also treated us to different but delicious ethnic foods (grilled kebabs, pillav, naans/breads etc.). We saw many interesting/historical places which definitely refreshed our knowledge of history of that era.

Our driver, Timur was a great fellow too. Overall we had a wonderful trip, a spectacular experience and a fantastic time. I would have no hesitation in recommending East-Site as tour operator.

Thank you for this feedback! We are on for May 21 5 Stan tour with East Site and can't wait for it. Our friend recommended the company, and it is nice to see this posting on Trip Advisor as well. Will report back!

Beware of one-post wonders. The posters with no history on TA don't look too reliable to those of us who know how this web-site works, and how companies can solicit feedback or leave it themselves.

Make sure you research well enough and get convincing feedback on any business you plan to use. Especially before you pay any money.

@AbuJahid - I'm sure you'll have a great time because I know we did. We are actually talking to some friends to see if they want to do a joint trip together. You know travel a lot is hard sometimes, but East Site people made it easier than I ever though.

Please post again and let us all know how your trip goes.

@Cora_v - I agree everyone should research before paying for anything! I was just so pleased and surprised with the experience I had to share it. I actually heard about East Site here on TripAdvisor so I thought it would be best to place my thoughts here too.

Good advice though for everyone!

East Site did fantastic job on our Caucasus and 5 Stans Tour, can't imagine anything done more professionally or differently to make it better. We felt confident every step of the way, a lot of things that we planned to do ourselves were surprisingly done by them. I wish they operated other parts of the world so we could stop doing research, on the other hand maybe they are so good only because operate specific segment... Don't know, anyways, they are the best.

Cora as usual I agree with you. Because all people are different and companies are different. What is good for one could not be good for all people. And payment question of course is very important. You have to be sure that you are paying to right person and for the right tour.
