Hi there,

Do you mean this

www.yamu.lk/place/urban-wetland-park.html

new one? That's different from Water's Edge park, which is as big but much less developed. Not much more than some walkways along the water along Rajagiriya-Battaramulla Road; it's mostly the former golf course which was turned back into the marshland that it needs to be, for the sake of the Colombo water/flood management system and also some nature.

The new one looks like a normal public park, free, open daily - but not been there yet.

All the best,

Hi Erik,

I don't know, we are talking from same, but looks like same area. I found a video.

www.youtube.com/watch…

with this info:

The Good flower market and Water's Edge park lie on a bank of the scenic Diyawanna lake in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Same or different to yours?

Well that's the Water's Edge one I mentioned. Not a park, only some walking paths and a market plus kiddies park with swan pedalos. Free from dusk to dawn, passing it daily when we're in Colombo as it's on the trunk road mentioned.

The new marshland park looks much better if you're into nature, planned to visit for next months when we're there again.

All the best,

HI,

This is the flower exhibition which was transferred from the Vihara Mahadevi Park in Colombo since that location has been taken over by the government. The water's Edge flower exhibition is located right on the main Rajagiriya / Malambe Road where you can also turn to the Parliament Road. This is visible to the road and anyone passing that way can see the exhibition. If you get to the area and ask anyone, they will direct you. This is very easy to locate.

Rgds,

Treshi.

Location is nice. it is better at night with lights and available space for a good walk. But The Waters Edge hotel is terrible pricing. Can you Imaging a Bottle of water at Rs.250/ when it's original price is Rs.60 what a different.
