do you book online?

Hi there peers,

I need to write an article about online booking, so i would like to hear from you on the following topics:

1. Do you book your vacation online? or you prefer traditional off line agencies?

2. Which sites do you prefer to book on?

3. What are the reasons to select one booking site of the other?

4. Is the lower price important for you to make a decision to make booking on certain site?

Thanx alot.

1. Re: do you book online?

Hi there,

1) I don't book on line because I always negotiate a better price through calling the various web sites call centres but do book with companies that only have a web presence.

2) I tend to look at specialist web sites and book the one that can do me the best deal. My last holiday I looked at 4 main sites :

Voyana.com

Iglu.com

Kuoni.co.uk

HayesandJarvis.co.uk

3) Price is the main reason but if this is the same then it is service and the ability to tailor the holiday to my exact requirements.

This year I found what I wanted and then negotiated the price (getting GBP 140 extra discount per person, 560 in total for 4), but didn't like all the fllight times, the agent (Iglu) got them changed to the ones I wanted at no extra cost.

4) Lower price is important but I would never deal with a none ABTA certified organisation over the web or on the high street. I like to feel like I am getting a good deal but I also want good service especially when the total price is over 10k.

Hope tis is what you wanted
