Help please with accomodation

I am REALLY struggling to find clean, well located "cheerful" accomodation for June.Around $20 per night is great BUT will go to $30 if its good.A pool would be nice but not essential....Everytime I think I've found one the reviews are awful or it a fair bit out of town.

Winning so far is Alibi but really it's a bit dear.

Where do you recommend (we don't mind REALLY cheap if its clean!!!!)

Emuplains, I stayed at Sundance Inn & Saloon in November just gone. It was awesome. A western owned & run bar with about 9 rooms above it. On Street 172 a couple of streets back from the riverfront. Basically in between all tourist attractions in Phnom Penh. I paid $35 a night, but smaller rooms available for around $25. It also has a pool. Reviews are mixed on Tripadvisor, but when I go back next time I will be staying there.

Good luck.

Please allow me to put in a biased plug for the "Lone Star Saloon". We are a family run Guest House located on a quiet side street........just minutes from the riverside/Royal Palace.........or the popular st. 51 late night strip.

You can find us on Trip Advisor.

Have you looked at Indochine 2, we had a booking there a few years back but never got to stay because of changes to our trip. I liked the location.

I stayed at Mekong Boutique Hotel last Sept and loved it, am staying again this July. They do have a room for $30, no pool though.

I can vouch for 'Aqua Boutique' - stayed there recently and it's a good budget option. Very clean and well situated.
