Central family hotel with big pool in the sun?

Hi

Can anybody recommend a good centrally located family hotel with big pool in the sun?

Raffles, Sofitel, and the like unfortuantley are not relevant.

Thanks.

The villa paradiso loops so nice but they don't allow children below 10, and my kids are 11 and 6 so .....:-(

Sorry I didn't realise they had a policy on children. The Plantation is owned by the same people as Kabiki. I haven't seen it but the pool looks nice in the photos and it's a good location

The 252 - we were there with 6 & 8 year olds this Christmas and met several families with children younger and older, the room we had was big and separated by a concrete screen - sounds odd but was lovely and provided 2 separate sleeping areas withou having to get 2 rooms. Pool area perfect for kids to play and you to relax after city exploration! I can't rate it enough.

The 252 is nice, small hotel with outside pool. It is not noisy hotels in city center which is good choice. The pool is totally outside but there are lounge chairs with shade by the pool so you can relax and enjoy drinks while your children swim.

Cheers,

Thank you - it really sounds nice, but we are actually looking for a place where the sun is shining and we can have a suntan:-)

Try Eureka Villas, located on Street 184, a quiet lane just behind the Royal Palace compound, with 24-hour police presence on the lane as added bonus (being located about 100 metres behind the Palace wall).

Just a note on pools in the sun ... if it is exposed to the sun all day and gets no shade it will probably end up the temperature of a bath and not be at all refreshing.

And do remember that the sun is fierce - you really do not want to be laying in it too long ... you fair skinned Danes will end up like lobsters and sunburnt kids can = a few very unpleasant days

Don't worry - we can always find shade but not always sun - and we have been to South East Asia more than 30 times so no lobsters here:-)
