5 days - Angkor wat >> Vietnam

Hi All,

I'm planning a 5 day trip with my family.

Want to see the most important places in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh.

Can you suggest the following:

- A suitable itinerary

- bus from Phnom penh to HCMC

- Good Moped rentals in Phnom Penh

- Good vegetarian options in Phnom

- Anything else you could think of.

Thanks in advance

If you only have 5 days, spend them in Siem Reap visiting Angkor Wat and the other wonderful temples nd seeing some of the other sites around town like Tonle Sap. You don't have time for 2 countires

The bus from Siem Reap to HCMC will take up most of the daylight hours of an entire day

I would not rent a moped in Phnom Penh

Thanks for the info.

I have follow-up questions:

- Why not rent a moped? Are tuktuks reasonably priced?

- what are 'must see' places in PP?

You say I'm bringing my family how can your family all fit on one motorcycle, do you have medical insurance that includes all types of vehicles, a Cambodian driver's license, when a tuk tuk can take your family In safety from $5 to $25 per day depending on where you go and the number of hours per day.

From HCMC to Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh to siem reap that's almost 2 days gone already depends on your mode of transportation, bus, mini van, flying, or private taxi.

Hi Vdivvu

To make your trip a success it would be good for you to do some research as there is a lot of information available on line.

Tuk tuks are readily available, are very cheap and will comfortably seat 4 people. How many people in your group?

For an itinerary, you need to work out what best suits your interests. We cannot provide much worthwhile information without knowing that.

Google for vegetarian restaurants so that you can find some closest to your accommodation.

Five days visiting 2 countries of course can be done but you won’t end up seeing anything much, but if that’s your travel style, go for it, but really it would be a waste of time, energy and money.
