Dear B00merang,

Here we go with some suggestions for Can Tho 2 days , not touristy for you

You will go from Saigon to Can Tho by car with some stops at Ben Luc Cao Dai Temple ( the third religion in Vietnam ), Tan An Rice field, Trung Luong Bonsai garden for toilet stop .

You will arrive Cai Be after 2 hours and 30 miutes drive. You will visit Cai Rang floating market ( if you leave Saigon early around 06:00 -07:00 AM, so you will arrive Cai Be early ) , cruise along Ba Nam Canal, walk along local village to visit Phu Chau Pagoda on the island, enjoy coconut candy at Tan Phong island, visit Cai Be mainland market. You will enjoy lunch at the local house ( like Ba Duc homestay )

After lunch, you will drive to Vinh Long, pass My Thuan Australian bridge ( built 1997- 2000), when you arrive Cai Von near Can Tho, you will see some money bridge, you will ask your driver to stop for you to pass the bridge . Great funny !!!!

Ask your car driver to arrive Can Tho Ferry before 04:30 PM so that you will waste your time at the traffic jam when arriving Can.

Check in at your booked Can Tho like Kim Tho hotel ( 45 USD ), Ninh Kieu hotel ( 45 USD), Nha Khach 02 Can Tho ( 28 USD ). Victoria Can Tho hotel is not recommended because It costs you more than 130 USD . You will use that room only some hours because next morning you will leave early for Cai Rang early floating market ( 05:00 AM or 06:00 AM ).

You will enjoy dinner at the best local restaurant : Hop Pho restaurant, please choose number # 04 or # 03 of the menu ( chicken with salted fish cooked with rice )

Next morning you will get up at 05:30 AM for Cai Be early floating market. When you arrive Cai Rang floating market after 30 minuten ride by boat, you will ask your tour guide for you to climb on the boat rooftop to sit there taking hundreds of photos of Cai Rang early floating market, buy pineapple and ask the boat owner to cut for you. You will admire him / her to cut it differently from your style

You will be back hotel for breakfast, relax, check out, put your luggage inside the car , go to Ninh Kieu quay ( Ben Ninh Kieu ) , look for Huong Phu Sa ( Phu Sa tourist ) shuttle boat. You will arrive Phu Sa tourist after 15 minutes ride.

You will feed crocodile there ( crocodile fishing ) . Great funny ,Only 3.000 VND for one time. You will rent sampan to ride along creek, walking island, take shuttle boat back to Can Tho mainland city.

Look for Sao Hom restaurant at Can Tho commercial market for lunch before getting to Saigon by car or by Thanh Nhan express boat ( 250.000 VND ) leaving Can Tho at 01:00 PM , arriving HCMC at 04:30 PM

If you take express boat back to Saigon, upon your arrival, you will cross the other side of Ton Duc Thang street, wait there and look for VINASUN taxi ( 08.3 . 8 27 27 27 ) to go back to your hotel. Don't take Vina meter ( 08. 8 27 27 77 ) , you will be riped off with a lot of money for short distance

Best regards

Wow Jason you really are a super star! Thank you so much for your suggestions. We are actually staying for two nights in Can tho and then heading back to HCCM. We will be travelling leaving HCMC on 21st December and arriving back on the 23rd ready for our flight to Phu Quoc at mid-day on the 24th.

How much would you charge for this trip?

Many thanks
