Parkson Mall - HCMC

Just a quick one

Is the Parkson Mall outside the airport such that you would need a VOA in order to be able to head over there? Got 6 hours at HCMC on UK inbound flight from Aus so not enough time to head into the City.

Many thanks

The Parkson mall is across the road from the terminal building, and as such, you'd need a visa to get to it and anything else that you might care to visit. With 6 hours you could probably get into the centre (usually takes about 30mins or so) but given this years price hikes for a visa, it's something you'd have to factor into the equation. And although VOA is usually fine, there is no guarantee that you wouldn't end up waiting to be issued with one. The airport itself isn't the best of places to spend a long time.

Thanks for that - there is a 14 hour layover on return - that is a no-brainer - a visa is definitely worth getting but 6 hours is a tricky timeframe - just borderline on "is it worth it" :-?
