Vietnam Airlines

My husband and I will be traveling from Ho Chi Minh city to Hanoi over a 14 day period in April. To maximize our time, I am planning a few flights to get us from: Ho Chi Minh to Dalat, then from Nha Trang to Da Nang and finally from Da nang to Hanoi.

Has anyone flown with VA? Are they reliable and typically on time?

Thanks!

VN is one of the better airlines in SEA

The problem that I foresee is your 14 day trip, and all of those stops. I recommend cutting out at least one of them unless you really like wasting time in transit. To see Vietnam properly you really need at least 3 wks in my opinion. Concentrate on the north and you will enjoy your trip more.

(I would drop Nha Trang)

Agree with daawgon, with two weeks you should cut out Da Lat (cool highland) or Nha Trang (sunny beach). I am sure you will visit Halong, Hoi An and Mekong Delta.

Since the question was about Vietnam Airlines I won't comment on your itinerary, since it is none of my business.

My experience is that they're reliable enough, especially outside the rainy season. But there are never any guarantees, of course.

Used them 20 times and have 25 more flights with friends booked in May. We have always had a great experience with them.

I think you should spend more time in the South and the Central. In my opinion, the South and the Central have friendlier people and much better cuisines than the North's.
