We caught the bus from the airport, took about 30 minutes, arrived in Da Lat and found it to be a quiet sleepy little hollow (compared to HCMC) found our hotel and met the lovely Mrs Dung at Dreams Hotel. She should write a book on hospitally, she fussed and bothered about us our entire stay. We had a room on the 5th floor, nice clean and spacious ($25 per night including a huge breakfast). Once settled in, we walked the streets and found the night markets, our sleepy little village exploded into a mass of people, there had to be thousands of people.
Next day didn't do much as my husband was sick but got out to see the crazy house and rode the chair lift, and walked the grounds of the pagoda. That night wwe met with Owen and the charming Mr Chow, we jumped on the back of their bikes and went off to dinner to discuss the next days events, Owen suggested we buy jackets as the mountains get cold, so off we went trailling behind Mr Chow, my husband thought we'd struggle to find anything his size, but Mr Chow walked about 60m from our dinner table, second rack first grab, perfect fit at a cost of $2.50. More about the ride to Nha Trang latter.
