We recommend you homestays in Taphin or Ta Van village. Staying at homestay will help you much exciting experience with local people. You still need to book advance with a good travel agent to ensure you will have a good service.

Have a good trip! - Asianway Travel

Hi,

Stay the night in Tavan village at a Dzay family. Convenient to the town center, this popular day trip from Sapa is a good chance to traipse around the rice terraces and experience a bit of rural village life. Hire a car or motorbike for the 9km (5 1/2-mile) road down the valley from Sapa to the Hmong village of Lao Chai (some folks even walk it); it’s a nice ride in itself, with great views of the lush terraces. From there, you’ll just follow the valley for a few miles to the next town of Ta Van. It takes several hours.

Hi

Thank you very much.

What do you think of this itinerary

1. Arrive as pa on Saturday morning, walk 2 km to Cat Cat village and trek there - ARE there rice terraces in Cat Cat village? WERE they cut already?

At evening take motorbike driver to get to bac hostel - any recommended hostel? (:

2. On Sunday morning See bac ha market, and at noon go to Ta Van village for home stay.

3. Trek in Ta Van village to see rice terraces and then go to Taphin village for homestay.

I have 3 questions please:

1. How can I book in advance home stays in Ta Van village and Taphin village?

2. Is it goof idea to trek in Cat Cat village on Saturday ? Are there rice terraces there? Were they cut already?

3. Could you recommend hostel in Back His for SST. Night?

Thank you so much!
