Phuket Airport Bus

Hi

I'm looking to travel Phuket again near end of Sept.

Chanced upon this Phuket Airport Bus:http://www.airportbusphuket.com/routesmap.html

Appreciate if someone can help me to understand:-

- Where is the Phuket Town Bus Terminal? Is it near Robinsons?

- For non-airport stops, do we just hail the bus when we see it pass by or wait at designated stops?

- If i take the bus from airport and wishes to alight at one of the beaches, do I need to tell the bus driver beforehand?

Thanks in advance for the advice

I believe the bus service has been suspended until better signage and lighting is installed at the airport.

The new Patong Bus is http://phuketairportbusexpress.com/ Support it if you can.

http://www.airportbusphuket.com/ This bus goes to the old terminal in Town, Phang Nga Raod, yes, possibly near Robinsons (supersotore?) It`s a short walk to Ranong Road where you`ll find "buses" to all the other beaches.

Most of the bus routes are Phuket town to someplace-else, if you want to go to another-place you have to go back to Phuket town. And really only when the sun is shining.

Do you want to go someplace or just a tour?

As previously mentioned the bus service has already been suspended until the end of August for lighting and signage upgrades. The bus service is such a token effort that it is unlikely to offer any real benefit to travellers.

I heard the Patong bus was limited rather than suspended. The other, Phuket City, bus has been running for a couple of years.

My daughter and I arrive at Phuket airport at 9pm and need to get to Centara West Sands hotel using the cheapest but also quick and safest form of transport. We thought as the hotel was right next to the runway it would be easy, but it seems that it takes 15 minutes to get all the way around the run way and one is often overcharged by taxis etc. Any ideas??

the airport bus is working. im riding it now. but yeah, 2 hrs interval. u can call the number on the website to confirm the next trip. dont trust the people in the airport. they will always tell u that there is no airport bus!
