Best way??

Hi All,

does any one know what is the best way to get from Bangkok to Ko Samui I cant get flights because they are all booked out.

I know I can get a bus and then a boat but which boat should I get?? Is there a speed boat if so where do I book???

Any help would be great

Other alternative is the overnight sleeper on the train followed by the ferry.

When you say all flights booked does that include flights to Surat Thani?

Cheers for your help im not sure about those flights we are leaveing Bnagkok on the 28th December so its peak time... what airline would fly there??

If you fly to Surat Thani you can get the ferry to Samui. Takes 90 mins from Don Sak Pier and about 100bht.

if flying to surat thani is an option then take it,

i done the coach/ferry journey on the same date last year and it was a 16 hour journey.

Yeah i`ve also done the overnight coach / ferry trip & never again.

I`d look at the overnight train as an option..I`ve never caught one to Surat Thani but caught an overnight from Udon Thani to Bangkok About 500 baht for a 2ND class A/C sleeper.An ok option, sleeper is a bit cramped if you`re tall(i`m not)but ok.

But all in all I`ll always fly if it`s any sort of possibility.
