weather koh samui

We are planning on going to Koh Samui for our Honeymoon next September, however, we are concerned it may be too wet. Anyone been at this time or have any comments?

Hi, I am currently sitting in Koh Samui on Chaweng Beach and have lived here for 3 years now. Our monsoon season is officially from October through to January but like today, we had rain the morning and now it is seriously hot and sunny! As for September, mostly it is sunshining but like all tropical places you can never tell - you might get the odd 30 minute shower but they tend to be at the end of the day when the temperature drops. No one can guarantee you will have perfect weather and I know for your honeymoon you would want it - but I don't think you need to worry about it here. Also, if you have never been to Thailand or Koh Samui you will love it, it has warm waters (29 degrees) beautiful beaches, lovely people and great food.So have a great honeymoon,RegardsMich

We are planning to go to Koh Samui in July 2005. Anyone know if this will be in the rainy season or what the weather should be like? It is to be a dream holiday

Hi scuba princess, I too am hoping to take a trip to koh samui for my 30th wedding anniversary, what is the best time of year to come for the longest sunniest days and shortest rain fall. Also what is the best part of koh samui to stay, non commercialised where we can mix with the wonderful people of the island we have heard so much about, snorkel, scuba dive, maybe take a boat out fishing and enjoy the tranquility and wild life
