Can Malarone be purchased in Boots in Thailand? If so does anyone know how the price compares to the £2.50 each in the UK?

No it can't. It is restricted to treatment in Thailand and most other nieghbouring countries and you can't buy it even with a prescription. It's to restrict it's use and therefore keep it effective by not allowing malarial mosquitos to develop a resistance to it.

If you want to take it you will have to buy it in the UK and take it with you.

... but unless you are going into deeply infested areas why do you need to take it? A good mossie relellant by day and by night is effective prevention against Dengue Fever by day and infection from bites overnight, as opposed to malaria prevention.
