Landed at hotel, rang Chiang Mai wheels and asked for a car within the hour. The answer was yes they just needed to clean it. They arrived on time, 5000bht deposit, no credit card, 950bht/day for 5 seater auto (middle size). I needed to return it earlier due to flights, again rang them and asked they arrive in 40 mins which they did to the minute. No issues with deposit return.

Car rental can obviously be a lottery and on another day this might have been different but our experience was perfect.

Also driving in Chiang Mai is great, it not crazy it's just efficient use of the roads.

We used them for 4 day hire, met us at the train and we delivered to their yard. No issues, we did almost 1000km and the car went well. As with wveryone else a bit nervous booking, but great communication and would definitely use again.

10days ago I ordred a Toyota vios for today with chiang mai wheels. No car apeard so I made a phonecall to them. They sayd sorry we have no vios and you did not confirm. What is not truth!

Rent everywhere but not with the unfriendly chiang mai wheels

We rented a Toyota Vios for 3 days in latest of June 2019. They delivered the car to our hotel timely and the car running so well within the 3 days driving. Finally we dropped off the car at our hotel in order to pick up our luggage, then the crew drove us to the airport without any surcharge. Both the drive crew and the coordinator - Miss Pang were good and nice. Will use this company if we have chance to come back Chiang Mai again definiately.

Murdoch, I'm not surprised that your car wasn't available when you wanted it, Soomuva (#7) was 2 hours late in returning it.
