Thank you LondonChris
We've used Pong and his drivers for years - we've found him to be reliable, well priced, with clean comfortable cars. Some of his drivers don't speak a lot of English, however if you were to specify that you need an English speaking driver we're sure he could arrange that. Whenever we've had a driver that doesn't speak a lot of English, if they ever weren't sure how to communicate something to us or weren't 100% sure of what we were asking, they would call Pong and put him on the phone to us.

Have sent email to Pong
We decided to go with Pong. His replies were prompt and his charges are the most reasonable.
He even sent me a photo of the vehicle he may be using.
Thank you everyone once again for your kind input.

Can i find out more about your experience with Pong? I am also a traveller from Singapore and my fiance and I are planning to take a 3D2N trip to Khao Yai. We would prefer not to drive thus I am looking to hire a personal driver, but we have some concerns about safety etc.. can anyone share if these drivers are reliable and safe to travel with?
If you decided to do it yourself it's an easy drive. Dual carriageway (or more) almost all the way to the park.
Plenty of nice hotels near Khao Yai.
I recommend Sixtthailand.co.th for car rental. They have a special cheap price for an older Toyota altis (xaar) which we find larger and more comfortable then the usual compacts.
The route from the airport is easy, and you should do it in about 2 and a half hours.
Driving round the park is also nice to do it in your own time and at your own convenience. You can't get lost in the park as it's just one through road with a few sideroads off it.
Just remember to be out before they close or you may have to park the night in one of the camping areas! If you want a guide you can always book anow evening safari at your hotel.Edited: 1:50 am, April 22, 2016
