Inexpensive, with great Pool

Staying 5 days in January and would like a real nice pool, and inexpensive room, does anyone have an opinion? Cant afford the Sheratons etc, so best bang for the buck is what we are after. Thank you.

Hi tomatoe88,

Without knowing your budget it's hard to give good advice, but for about half the price of Sheraton , Glow Trinity has a very large pool, especially good for swimming laps. The pool however is a short walk across the street in another complex.

It's difficult to say what is an inexpensive hotel. Anantara has a great pool and is much cheaper than Sheraton.

Some tourists who routinely visit New York City, Tokyo and Moscow would think only paying the equivalent of $100 US a night to be inexpensive! What is your "inexpensive" price??

You want a "great pool" in an inexpensive hotel?

Fortuna Hotel. Has a pool. Cheap buffet breakfast that has Korean and Japanese specialties along with Thai and Western breakfast items. Located not far from Nana Skytrain stop. Short walk to Foodland Supermarket where there is a restaurant open 24 hours. Sukhumvit Soi 5. The pool may or may not be good enough for you! Atlanta Hotel has a pool too. But if you intend to have a guy other than your husband spend the night with you they won't allow it!

Just another suggestion.

www.agoda.com, Check out Amanta Hotel and Residence Rachada. Pool is very good for this 3.5* service apartment hotel. Rate is around US$ 80 per night ( generally regarded as mid-level rate in BKK ) for the 1- bedroom suite. Location is OK for using subway train. Breakfast was horrible while I stayed there.

Ruamchitt Plaza is an older, somewhat rundown, hotel right on Sukhumvit Road which has recently renovated rooms for 1600 baht and a stupendous pool on the roof with sweeping views of the skyline and Skytrain. http://www.ruamchitt.com/

Thanks all of you for your replies , I guess we were hoping 60 to 70 US , but maybe thats not realistic, 60 with a decent pool would be okay too. Thanks again , Tom
