Hi,

From Pratunam to the Mall at Bangkapi expect the journey time to take around 35 to 40 minutes. You are in for an interesting journey and the boat stops about 20 times along the way. I can't remember how long it takes from Sathorn to Nonthaburi though.

Thank you Ajarnandy. Can you suggest any other interesting places to visit from Pratunam on this klong boat? We don't necessarily need to go to Bangkapi mall just wanted to try the klong boat out.

Hi there,

I haven't stopped off at any of the places along the way but there are a couple of Wats:

Incidentally, the mall is a very good place for shopping !

I really like the food court at the Mall Bangkapi. To get the best view on the boat, either seat up front near the driver or at the very back where the seating is raised. Anywhere in the middle, your view will be blocked by canvas side curtains (to prevent splashing).

If the canvas is down you are strongly advised to pull them up when you see a passing boat. Keeiping your mouth closed is also a good idea.

Oh and remember to wash your hands before eating!!

Holly

It will take about 1.5 hours from Sathorn to Nonthaburi.

At the last stop on the klong boat there's a wat with a very strange display!

Enjoy your holiday.

Alan

Hi Alan, I thought Nonthaburi was the last stop on the boat. Is the Wat you are talking about there? Many thanks

Hi, I wonder if you could advise me if time was tight and we could only choose Nonthaburi or Saen Saeb klong which would be the best to do?

Hi,

It may, to an extent depend on where you are staying in Bangkok. As suggested the trip to Bangkapi is shorter. Also, it's the river vs a canal, my preference is for the latter.
