Best/cheapest way from Ratachewi to Ko San Road

We are staying at the Vie hotel and for most places we have wanted to go we have taken the sky train and/or walked.

Koh San road is not on any of the train route's .... any suggestions how best to get there?

Skytrain to Saphan Taksin, go to the pier under the bridge. Grab the Chao Phraya Express boat coming from your left, get off at Phra Arthit pier. Don't pay for, or use, the tourist boat.

If want to go by bus > get off at Siam station and take bus number 15 or 79 (bus from Siam Center)

None advices the Khlong Boat?

Ask the consierge for Sapan Hua Chang pier. It's near your hotel. Take the boat leaving to the left side until final station named Panfa, you can't fail. From Panfa the Khao San Rd is only a short taxi ride away.

WE. Same price in a meter taxi for one person or if you stuff 4 people in the taxi!

The Vie Hotel is not a cheap hotel why not just use a meter taxi? Remember to have coins for paying the METER FARE. Probably 80-130 baht for everyone you can stuff in the taxi. Don't get in the taxi unless the driver agrees to use the meter.

As posted above, I would take the Saen Saep Canal boat. There's a pier 5 minutes walk from your hotel. Head down Phaya Thai road and just after the BTS station, you come to a bridge, look down and there's the pier. Take the boat to the end of the line - Panfa Lilat - about 20 minutes, 12 baht. Come up to street level and you're right by Golden Mount, about 15 minutes walk or a 40 baht taxi ride to KSR.

Don't take the roundabout route with the BTS and Chao Phraya Express boat. It may be scenic but it will take much, much longer.

A taxi is also a good way. The route is straightforward from Ratchathewi and it won't cost more than 80 baht.

No need to go to Siam if you take a bus. Bus numbers 2, 39, 59, 60, 79, 159, 183 or 511 will take you to khok Wua near KSR.

You can get the79 bus from under Ratchewi BTS station to KSR. It is orange, with a/c, and will cost you 13 baht.

Take bus 53 from outside the main entrance to Hua Lamphong. It stops on the left-hand side, on Thanon Rong Mueang, and will cost you 7 baht, (red, non a/c).
