Check out the FAQs on the above right side of this page, especially "What To See and Do" - that should give you some more ideas on what's available, and you can add or delete from your itinerary as you like. Enjoy your trip!

Rainman!

I haven't booked any tour to safari world. But checked the rates- 1600INR per person including round trip transportation. Shell I book from hotels2thailand website or can book from my hotel?

cheers

Hotels2thailand is a often recommended website to book from.

From your hotel I would think it would be a little more expensive.

The other option of course is to directly cab it there for about THB 350 and buy the entrance ticket there

1600 including round-trip sounds v good. Does this also include the buffet lunch?

Naveen -

the INR 1600 quoted on their website does not include the VAT and service charge!

That comes to about INR 300 more per person, so the total is INR 1900

Not easy to comment on your itinerary as we do not know your interest.

If I would be three days in BK, Khao San Road would not necessarily be on my list. But if you like to do intensive low quality drinking with other backpackers groups for somehow reasonable price, maybe a good option. Can be fun.

Also cineplex and safari highly depend on your own interest. I do not think these are unique BK attractions.

If I came to Bangkok for 3 days Khao Sans Rd in the evening would be a must.

Great fun, unique area not necessarily confined to backpackers, all ages and nationalities frequent this area. I'm in Bangkok 4 months this winter and try to get to KSR at least once a week

Also the movies in Bangkok is a great experience much cheaper than back home, they get the movie long before the UK does and the cinemas very comfortable. Just come back now from watching "The Hobbit"

Rest of your itinerary looks great. Enjoy!

naveen - i was calculating, and it works out to be almost the same if u take a tour or do it yourself. The combo entrance price for the safari ticket is THB 1100. taxi round trip could be in the range of THB 600-700.

The buffet lunch given is quite sad as per the reviews on TA, so when on yr own you can avoid that and eat what you like.

Why not reach bangkok and shop around if u have a little time at the operators around yr hotel. Or you can simply do it yourself!

Maybe some of the others here could give their suggestions..
