hotel choice in bangkok for family

We're a couple with a 5 yr old and are deciding what hotel to pick to stay 5 days in Nov in Bangkok. We've heard the Sukhumvit area is a good loc to stay. We narrowed it down to the following. Can folks provide feedback/recommendations based on proximity to restaurants, groc stores, shopping and public transport/taxis. We dont care for night life and other "entertainment":

1. Viva garden serviced residence by Bliston

2. Amari Atrium

3. Park Plaza Sukhumvit

4. Rembrandt

5. Bel Aire Princess

Appreciate the feedback

Not on your list, but Evergreen was perfect for our family and good value too, has a swimming pool, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments (not just a hotel room, great with young kids when snacks etc required), pool and price includes buffet breakfast. 2 minutes walk to Ratchathewi Station and 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes tuk tuk to MBK which has great food courts both Thai and International food, supermarket etc.

Location wise, Park Plaza Sukhumvit is the best of those listed.

It is right by the Asoke intersection where one main road heading north-south meets another heading east-west, and there are stations for both the underground (Sukhumvit MRT) and skytrain (Asoke BTS). Also, this is the location of the Terminal 21 mall which has shops, restaurants and a western supermarket.

The Rembrandt is close to Park Plaza and hence the location is nearly as good.

Hi

We stayed as a family at the Rembrandt last month and found it very nice, you will find my report on here. The hotel is in a very good location to get about Bangkok. The taxi fare from the airport is about 300 bht and takes about 40 mins.

Also you might want to look at The Courtyard by Marriott, we stayed there last year and it was very very nice and right next to the shopping area.
