This may seem a naff question, but would appreciate advice on using skytrains. Travelling from Riverside area (Hilton) to, say, MBK mall, is it clearly marked? When does one pay for it? Are there different links or just one which goes around? We're there for 6 days, is it worth buying a multi-ticket I've seen mentioned? Thanks in advance guys.

very easy to use and everything clearly marked. two lines, the silom and suhkumvit lines. The interchange station for these two lines is Siam station. If you using the skytrain everyday then yes, get a pass.

It really is dead easy to use. You can buy a multi journey ticket at the booth on any station, then just feed it through the barriers on the stations as you enter and disembark, - don't forget to pick it back up again as you go through! Single trip tickets can be bought at the booths or from automatic machines - just press the button for your destination and it will tell you how much to put in for your ticket. It is best to keep lots of small change for this purpose ie. 10, 20 Baht coins. Single trip tickets will not be returned at destination. You'll soon get the hang of it , and it is the best way to get about Bangkok. Have fun!

Here a website that worth checking out:

Dun worry, the skytrain is very easy. Even if U miss a station, just cross & take the other to go back (just dun go out of the station & U dun have to pay).
