Where In Thailand? (Beaches)

I am planning a trip to Japan, Cambodia and I'd like to make a stop in Thailand for five days. I'm looking for beautiful beaches with minimal travelling required. Where are the best places?

Hi, when are you planning the trip, it's important to know because of the monsoon months in different parts of the country.

Do you have to fly into Bangkok or is Phuket an option? If Phuket is an option maybe Koh Lanta

Ko Samet is probably the best choice if you want to keep travel time to a minimum and avoid flying.

I was actually thinking of going to Krabi Town area. Would this be a good place to spend 5 days or so? I'd like to basically relax, swim, snorkel and hang out. Not into partying any more.

Krabi is fantastic but getting rather overdeveloped and in January might be overrun with package tourists. But you can¨t argue with the scenic beauty.
