You will get a better rate of exchange in Thailand than in the UK.
There are exchange booths everywhere generaly open 'till late into the evening too
Change your money in Thailand !!

Thanks for the quick reply. I definitely will not be changing any money until i get there then!
Although, come to think of it i will need some money as soon as i get there to pay taxi from bangkok airport to our hotel so i may just get £100 worth before i travel.
That's quite a lot, I would go for less. It is easy to change money in Bangkok and this can also be done at the airport if necessary.
Yes you're probably right. Looking at the taxi fare estimates, i think i might change around £50 instead (so we can have a couple of beers on the way to changing some money)!
brummieblue8 , just change your £50 in Bangkok airport. There is exchange booths open 24/7.
A taxi from airport to Bangkok centre will cost approx 450 baht (about £9). So even with some beers £25 would be enough to change.
Do read all the FAQ's on the right as regarding getting taxis from airport etc.
