July - Krabi or Samui? And what about Khao Sok?

Hi all,

We're travelling to Thailand for nearly 3 weeks from 9th July and want to spend some time on a beach as well as doing some trekking. I know it's the rainy season so which is the best area to go to for a reasonable amount of sun at that time.

Also, has anyone been to Khao Sok in July? We don't mind getting a bit wet (it is after all a rain forest!), but would we be drenched all day, every day?

Any info much appreciated.

Hi,

I've been to Khao Sok in July. It rained pretty much every day, but not all day. It's pretty unpredictable, but seemed to rain for a couple of hours then it was cloudy but dry. Sure there were days when it rained all day, but this certainly wasn't a day in day out thing.

By the way, we went with Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours, who were great value and organised a fantastic trip for us. You can take a look at them at www.limestonelaketours.com
