Hi , will be travelling along and staying at friend's place in tpe , was wondering , will if be easy for me alone to go to either Alisan or Sun Moon Lake ? or should i go to Tai Ru Ge in hualian ? been to taiwan a few times but neber have change to visit either of this place , was very tempt to try the alisan railway.

Is the lavender farm worth going ?

I will be staying for 7 days in tpe which i think will be a bit too much and does not wans to bother my fren too much also so thot travelling alone to nearby places. ( had did yeliu/keelung/jiufeng/wulai b4 le )

Also if anyone knows any good pastry school there offers short courses ? was thinking maybe i can take up if the timetable matches.

Any pastry shops that sells alot of cheap and good pastry bakeware ? Went to this shop call "hong mei" or something last time was not bad.

Also any good pastry shops to intro ? was planing to do Joel rubochon , Saharu Aoki, Boite de Bijou 珠寶盒法式點心坊 , etc , any where else to recommend ?

Lastly any place where I can find big sizes clothing for guys ? and hmm any nice tibits which can keep a few weeks for Cny ? Thanks

There are few Bakeware Store along TaiYuan Road.

(It is On the stretch btw Chang 'An West Road & NanJing West Road.

U can use either Tripadvisor Or Google to search for either Baking School Taipei, Culinary School Taipei, Sun Moon Lake Or Taroko Gorge etc.

U will for sure find alot to read up on. Otherwise, U can also Go to the National Library to borrow Travel Guide in the English Or Mandarin section (Mandarin at Catalog # 915.249).

For CNY Tibits, U can check Out Dihua Street.

Some Bakery Details here:

This might help U see wat want to do in Taiwan:

U can go all places alone, Whether U are a Single Gurl, Single Young Boy, mid age Lady or Mid Age Guy.

Just take the usual precautions as U would anywhere in the world.

I never know of any place that require 2 person to go Except for some Promotion Air ticket.

The Benefit of going Alone is, U have full Control of how U go about with ur activities; Not drag down by the difference like in a group.

Just do ur homework with the link already provided in my first post & usual Tripadvisor research & U are good.

Good Luck

I was alone most of the time when I was in Taipei in Dec 2012 for 6 nights. Like the freedom of travelling alone. Taiwan is a nice place and people are helpful and gracious. You will love Taiwan. Enjoy your trip and you will know what I mean when I say the Taiwanese is gracious.
